“Sea Slug” A4 Prints

Last Etsy shop update is all about the little nudibranch I painted in digital watercolour a while ago. You’ll find the fine art prints by clicking this link, which will take you to my Etsy store. Enjoy!

Here’s the story behind the artwork:

I didn’t quite know what to paint, so I asked my Instagram followers for suggestions. One of them suggested this strange sea creature, which I’d never heard of before. I was intrigued and went for it. At times I didn’t quite know what I was painting… But I liked the challenge.

I hope you’ll have a nice weekend, and I’ll see you in the next post. Cheers!

Goodbye, Patterns…

Yes, it’s time for Mystiq Arts and pattern-making to part ways. However, I won’t stop making them – on the contrary, I’ll give them even more space. Hence, I welcome you to check out the new website, Estris Design, where I’ll keep creating and showcasing my patterns!

I think that separating my art and my patterns will help prevent confusion regarding Mystiq Arts as a “brand”. What do you think of this decision?

I’ll see you in the next post. Cheers!

Portfolio Update

This month’s portfolio update only contains one illustration: the Skyscrapers. But that doesn’t mean that Mystiq Arts is slowing down! As a matter of fact, there are quite a few exciting projects brewing. Stuff’s going on behind the curtains, so to speak… and I can’t wait to share them with you this September.

I hope you’ve had a great month, everybody! Now let’s look forward to this autumn season.

Cheers!

“Skyscrapers” Illustration

Drawing straight lines while caring for a two-nearly-three months old baby is not what I would call an easy task. I thought this would be an excellent time to try and draw something in a sloppy manner, and I really enjoyed it. I’m quite satisfied with how these skyscrapers turned out, as well: There’s something charming and elegant about them.

“Skyscrapers” – digital ink illustration.

I’m not making any prints of this piece. However, they can be downloaded almost for free over at the Mystiq Arts Etsy shop. I hope you’ll enjoy!

These tall fellas will be featured in more projects of mine, so stay tuned for more updates. Until next time, take care out there. Cheers!

Mystiq Arts on Patreon

I recently launched a Mystiq Arts Patreon page! This means that you can support me and my art whilst getting discounts, behind-the-scenes content, fancy gifts and much more in return. I would be ever so grateful if you checked it out, and even more so if you became my patron. (I would literally start to cry.)

I’ll see you in the next post – or on Patreon! Cheers!

Portfolio Update

This month, I’ve added two more artworks to my portfolio: The Fox and The Hamster. I’ve found myself in a bit of an “animal phase” and so I’ve really enjoyed creating content like this. I wonder what the future brings… but I’m pretty sure the next update will include a botanical pattern and hopefully much more. Stay tuned!

I’ll see you in the next post. Cheers!

“The Hamster” Art Prints on Etsy

I just updated my Etsy shop with another product: The Hamster, pencil drawing. I like drawing animals like this. Fur is an interesting topic, quite challenging to draw but at the same time highly rewarding if you manage to place the highlights and shadows right.

As you can see, I’m offering this print in both vertical and horizontal orientation. Quite convenient, if I may say so myself. Which one would you choose?

Cheers!

“Turtle Love” Art Prints Available

Hello, everyone! The Mystiq Arts Etsy shop has been updated with a set of 25 prints of my Turtle Love gouache painting. Being limited edition, they’re up for grabs!

I’m really satisfied with the finish of the prints. I must say, they turned out great.

I’ll see you in the next post. Cheers!
